Santa Barbara Harbor, Santa Cruz Island, Santa Barbara Island, Catalina Island & Santa Monica Bay

Santa Barbara Harbor

Your 100+ mile Adventure begins in beautiful Santa Barbara Harbor. First you will learn what safety gear will be necessary  for safe passages and how to use it. You will practice skills on provisioning the boat for your Adventure. Sailing lessons  will begin day one, we will grow your skills together the entire trip. Next, we will depart for Santa Cruz Island and spend  the night on anchor.

Santa Cruz Island

Santa Cruz Island is the largest of the Channel Islands, off the coast of Southern California. Its many sea caves include the vast Painted Cave, on the northwestern side. The island has many trails, including around Scorpion Canyon on the South side of the island.

Santa Barbara Island

Day 2 we will sail off to beautiful Santa Barbara Island. Along the way you will grow your skills in knot tying (essential on  any sailboat) Navigation and Weather. Providing a refuge for California sea lions, harbor seals, and northern elephant  seals, Santa Barbara Island is an important home and breeding ground for these playful creatures of the sea.

Catalina Island

Depending whether you select a 3 or 4 Day Adventure, we will leave Santa Barbara Island for Catalina Island. The closest and most accessible island in the Channel Islands. Here we may get a visit from a Catalina Bison, and our trained Captain and crew will show the Bald Eagles' nest. We might even catch some spectacular pictures while feeding them.
